On Thursday, 14 May 2026, the Euphoria Telecom team returned to De Zalze Golf Club in Stellenbosch for the Gift of Sight Trust Golf Day — and what a day it was. Bigger turnout, better atmosphere, and even better weather than last year. Cape Town had thrown its worst at us the week before, so walking out onto those fairways in sunshine felt like a reward in itself. Miles — our working business phone on wheels — joined us on the tee too. On a day full of drivers, he felt right at home.
A great cause worthy of applause
The Gift of Sight Trust is on a mission to eliminate avoidable blindness in South Africa by tackling the country's cataract surgery backlog. Founded by ophthalmologist Dr. Johann Krüger, the trust restores vision — and dignity — to thousands of South Africans who would otherwise wait years for affordable eye care. Under the continued stewardship of Juandré Kruger and Professor Kruger, the event keeps growing — drawing sporting celebrities, business leaders, and passionate supporters who show up because they genuinely believe in the work. It's the kind of event that makes you proud to be part of it.
Pin The Hole — back by popular demand
We brought back our custom hole activation — Pin The Hole — our golf-day spin on the childhood classic, Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Golfers were blindfolded, spun around three times, and challenged to place a flag on the correct position on an aerial map of our sponsored hole, with great prizes on the line. Everyone who walked up to our hole knew the game immediately — and that's precisely the point. At Euphoria, we believe great creative is rooted in ideas that simply make sense.
