When we launched Ball Call in 2025 with Africa Padel — South Africa's largest network of dedicated padel clubs — we wanted to do something different from the usual B2B campaign. Get people off their screens, onto a court, and into an actual conversation. The deal was simple: take a 30-minute Euphoria Telecom demo, get a free padel match and a sleeve of balls. No catch.
It worked beautifully — better than we expected. So we're not closing it down. We're keeping it going.
A quick recap of the on-court chapter
Ball Call ran through 2025 and into 2026 as an on-court promotion at participating Africa Padel clubs. Alongside the free match and sleeve of balls, every demo entered the business into the draw for a Club Takeover — a private, fully-catered padel afternoon for the winner's team, hosted at Africa Padel.
Grand Outdoor walked off with the takeover, which we hosted at Africa Padel Claremont. The prize was a R30,000 Club Takeover — a full private booking of the venue for Grand Outdoor's team — and they used it as an internal company day rather than a client event. The whole company turned up in Hawaiian-themed shirts, played a full afternoon of doubles matches across the team, and worked their way through trays of treats and cold drinks supplied on the day. It was a hot one. It was a sweaty one. It was, by all accounts, an incredibly fun one. The kind of office afternoon people actually talk about for months afterwards — which was the entire idea.
The off-court chapter — open to anyone
Now Ball Call lives on as a permanent, off-court offer. The mechanics couldn't be simpler. Take a 30-minute, no-obligation demo of the Euphoria Telecom business phone system, and we'll send you a voucher for a free padel match and a sleeve of balls. The voucher is yours whether you sign up with us or not. Genuinely, no catch. Vouchers are redeemable at two participating Africa Padel clubs:
- Africa Padel Claremont — Cape Town. Top-spec courts, restaurant, pro shop, equipment hire.
- Africa Padel German Country Club (Fourways) — Joburg. Africa Padel's Joburg-North home, set in the well-known German Country Club grounds. Multiple courts, club facilities, easy parking.
Ball Call in 60 seconds
A fresh spin on networking. Literally.
Here's the bad pun we never quite manage to stop making. Networking — you play over a net. It's silly, but the more we sat with the idea the more it felt right. Padel is, accidentally, the most natural networking format we've ever come across. Four people, an enclosed court, a forced doubles dynamic, an hour of conversation between rallies, and absolutely no requirement to be any good at it. Working the net, literally — and you'll have a better business chat at Africa Padel than in most conference rooms in the country.
It's also one of the fastest-growing sports in South Africa, and the business community has taken to it especially hard. Founders, sales teams, agencies, lawyers, accountants — everybody seems to be on a court somewhere on a Thursday afternoon. We wanted Euphoria Telecom to be in the middle of that.
Part of a bigger picture: fresh air, community, connection
Padel sits inside a bigger thread that runs through Euphoria's wider community work. When we pick partnerships, we keep coming back to the same shortlist: outdoor, healthy, friendly, accessible, South African. The activities people gather around in real life — not over a Zoom link.
It's why we sponsor the Euphoria Vasbyt trail at TokaiMTB, why we backed the TokaiMTB emergency number, why we tell the story of people like Mark Smith — one of the unsung heroes of the Tokai trails, and why we round-up South African mountain bike parks the family will love. The thread is the same one that runs through Ball Call: get outside, move, meet someone.
Padel is the urban, social cousin of all of that. Hence the partnership with Africa Padel — and hence the off-court continuation of Ball Call.
How to claim your free padel match and sleeve of balls
Three steps. No special form, no complicated process — just a friendly chat with our sales team.
- Email sales@euphoria.co.za (or use our standard contact form) and let us know you'd like a 30-minute, no-obligation demo of the Euphoria business phone system.
- Mention promo code "BALL CALL" when our sales team gets in touch to set up the demo. They'll know exactly what you mean.
- Attend the demo, get your voucher. In-person or online — your choice. The padel voucher and sleeve of balls land with you afterwards. Sign up with Euphoria or don't; the voucher is yours either way.
Not a padel person? Help yourself to our other free stuff
Padel isn't for everyone, and we get it. The good news is Ball Call is one of several free resources we make available to South African businesses — no demo required to grab most of them. Free e-books on cloud PBX, VoIP, remote work and contact centres. Our Phone Zone Office Playlist on Spotify (yes, really). Practical guides for whoever in the business is doing the research before sending it up the chain to the CTO, CFO or MD. Different formats, same idea — small, useful things you can take with you whether you become a Euphoria customer or not.
The ball is in your court
Ball Call started life as an on-court promotion and grew into something we couldn't quite bring ourselves to wind down. So consider this an open invitation. Have a look at the Ball Call page, email sales@euphoria.co.za, mention BALL CALL, and we'll see you on a court at Africa Padel Claremont or Fourways.
T&Cs apply. One redemption per verified business. Vouchers are valid only at Africa Padel Claremont and Africa Padel German Country Club (Fourways). Voucher issued after demo completion. Not a contest or sweepstakes.
