Located on the 5th floor of The Terraces Building in Black River Park, Observatory, the office underwent an extensive transformation this year. The result is a warm, whimsical environment that embodies Euphoria’s ethos of innovation and connection.

Euphoria Creative Director and Marketing Manager Lauren Pybus, who oversaw the design says, “I wanted to create a space that inspires our team to do their best work every day. To achieve this, we needed a cohesive concept. Celebrating telephony and connectivity over the past century felt fitting for South Africa’s leading business phone system.”

The office is a celebration of design and history. Phone-themed artwork and antique phones turned into desk lamps help to blend nostalgia with modern functionality.

The “Phone Doodle” wallpaper in one of the breakaway boardrooms is a standout feature, which showcases pen sketches submitted by the Euphoria team.

“Everyone doodles while they’re on the phone and this captures that idea perfectly while adding a personal touch that resonates with staff and visitors alike,” says Pybus.

Highlights from the revamp include a spacious kitchen and recreational area with pool and air hockey tables, a video and audio recording studio for the marketing team, and a London-style red phone booth repurposed for package collection. Open, oak-lined pods offer inviting spaces for brainstorming and collaboration, while the airy reception area doubles as an additional meeting zone.

“We’ve put the FUN into FUNctional,” says Pybus. “The vibrant colours, greenery, and earthy wood tones make the space feel fresh and dynamic. It’s more than an office—it’s an inspiration station.”

A thoughtfully designed office is an important team-building tool, creating an inviting space where teams can work, connect and collaborate. It also creates a welcoming place for visitors and guests making it a powerful catalyst for productivity, creativity and ultimately, success.
