The idea behind the ‘Remember to Think Pink’ campaign is simple. Bright pink is the colour of breast cancer awareness and sticky notes are there to remind you to do something important. With that in mind, the team at Euphoria Telecom and Reach For Recovery decided to connect these elements in order to create a vibrant and memorable call-to-action campaign. Using the visual icon of vivid pink sticky notes, we are reminding women all over South Africa to ‘make the smart call’ and schedule their annual breast exam. We are doing this in multiple languages (English, Xhosa and Zulu) across different communities, including in areas where access to breast health information is low. By tapping into the collective power of Reach For Recovery’s 500+ strong network of national volunteers and friends, we are spreading early detection messaging through special static-cling stickers that can easily go onto any glass or mirrored surface, without leaving marks or mess. Reach For Recovery will also be hosting live activations throughout October, utilising a sequence of giant sticky notes that will help raise both awareness and funds at the same time. The ‘Remember To Think Pink’ campaign is being rolled out online too, so please encourage women everywhere to keep an eye on Euphoria Telecom’s social pages. Sharing is caring.
Support SA's oldest breast cancer organisation by making a donation of any amount. Every cent goes towards assisting Reach For Recovery's national volunteer-based service. Let’s stick together and make a real difference across South Africa.
Hello and Bravo
to Reach for Recovery’s incredible network of volunteers and friends. Every single one of you has a vital role to play in making this campaign a success.
Reach For Recovery and Euphoria Telecom are calling on businesses and female-centric community hotspots to help us spread proactive breast cancer awareness messaging while simultaneously informing women from all socio-economic backgrounds about the amazing work that Reach For Recovery does.
The ask: All you need to do is put these stickers up in your business premises. This includes clothing stores, salons, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, gyms, churches, mosques or community centres – basically in any place where women gather together.
We’re also asking you to give a sticker in Xhosa and Zulu to women in your workforce who can then take the message into the heart of their own communities. Placed in a busy township salon, a single sticker will be seen by countless women who would otherwise not have access to information that is potentially life-saving.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
In the year that I have lived as a cancer survivor and THRIVER, it has been my greatest honour and pleasure to remain at work in the field of breast cancer awareness, support and fundraising.
The collaboration between Euphoria Telecom and Reach For Recovery started with a bang in 2022 and continues to grow in intention, scope and reach. I am immensely touched by Euphoria Telecom’s selfless, ongoing, very active support of Reach for Recovery over the years. Thanks for all you do Euphoria, it does not go unnoticed.
By creating and launching this super-fun and engaging ‘Remember to Think Pink’ campaign, I know we are only going to get our message further, raise more money and inevitably save more lives – isn’t that awesome?!
October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, putting this disease at the forefront of awareness for 30 days. Approximately one in 26 women in South Africa will develop breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. As a long-standing national breast cancer service of 56 years, this statistic really hits home for us at Reach for Recovery.
In an exciting development, we are teaming up with Euphoria Telecom to take an active stance against breast cancer this October. We are thrilled to be part of the Euphoria Telecom ‘Remember to Think Pink’ collaboration!
Euphoria has created a unique ‘sticky note’ campaign to amplify our RFR voices to women of all ages wherever they are. We want women to understand they need to go for scans to help detect the disease early. We are also showcasing our services, and raising funds to fulfil our mission of providing emotional and practical support to every person in SA confronted by breast cancer.
The fantastic, brightly coloured artwork stickers will attract attention and help our powerful breast health messages stick in the hearts and minds of everyone who reads them. This will improve knowledge and save lives. What a bright and hopeful prospect!
Euphoria and Reach For Recovery: a powerful partnership rooted in community and connection.
In early 2022 Euphoria’s internal corporate social responsibility committee began the search for a worthy cancer-related non-profit that we could partner with on a long-term basis. It wasn’t long before Reach For Recovery was selected as our cancer charity of choice. That’s where our first partnership with Reach For Recovery began.
We are now amplifying Reach For Recovery’s proactive message by using the simple visual mechanism of bright pink sticky notes as a means to remind women to ‘make the smart call’ and schedule their annual breast cancer screening. It’s been a pleasure and privilege to collaborate with R4R on the ‘Remember to Think Pink’ campaign and we look forward to supporting this amazing organisation well into the future.
Reach For Recovery needs your support
In addition to creating the He(ART) Gallery activation (2022), the BRAvo Mastectomy Bra Collection Drive (2023) and the Remember to Think Pink campaign (2023/4/5/6), Euphoria Telecom has proudly donated funds directly to Reach For Recovery and we encourage other businesses to do the same.
